Mental Health and Well-Being

As Kappas, we're always looking for opportunities to dream boldly and live fully as we give back and inspire positive change.

In the pursuit of that mission, mental health and well-being is our international philanthropic focus. Join us as we commit to becoming powerful advocates in the mental health and well-being space and aim to live fully in the service of others.

Kappa partners with the following organizations to carry out this impactful work:

Active Minds

The Jed Foundation

Mental Health America

National Alliance on Mental Illness

National Eating Disorders Association

Jack.org

Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation

The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation helps Kappas pursue life’s opportunities by funding impactful programs, including financial assistance grants, member education, preserving our history and heritage, and scholarships. Learn how the Kappa Foundation helps Kappas thrive.

Kappa also partners with Talkspace, an online platform that makes it convenient to access mental health resources and paves the way for accessible mental health care. Alumnae receive a discount on this service thanks to a grant through the Kappa Foundation.

Charlotte Philanthropy

The Charlotte Alumnae Association gives back in a few different ways. The first is supporting the local NAMI walk through a Kappa team and fundraiser. Secondly, we sponsor Kappas through the Rose McGill Holiday Roses each holiday season. Additionally, we have a spring fundraising event to raise money for the Foundation, NAMI, and HopeWay, a local mental health organization in Charlotte. Paying your dues helps us to be an event sponsor for the NAMI walk and supporting fellow sisters through the Rose McGill Holiday Roses program! Our fundraiser each spring is a fun co-ed event where all are welcome to join us to support these great causes. Past themes have included Great Gatsby, Kentucky Derby, and Kappa Kountry BBQ. This year, we'll have a Master's themed fundraiser. You won't want to miss it!
